A hypothalamic nonapeptide approved for obstetric use and widely studied intranasally for social behaviour.

What research shows

Oxytocin is a licensed obstetric medicine with pooled trial evidence supporting labour augmentation. The intranasal social behaviour research is a separate story entirely: many small randomized trials and pooled analyses in autism found limited overall effects, despite widespread supplement marketing.
